Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL is an assessment process that involves assessment of learner’s current knowledge and skills to confirm and recognise the learning outcomes a learner has already obtained in non-formal, informal, experiential, workplace and/or formal learning contexts.
1/ How can the RPL process help candidates to complete their program of study at VITE?
A candidate’s prior knowledge and experiences are RPL assessed by VITE RPL Assessors and if successful s/he may receive course credits toward the specific courses within a particular program of study. Automatic credits are also granted by the institution on specific courses within each level of program.
2/ Who may apply for RPL?

3/ When do candidates need to apply and collect the evidence?
Candidates apply at the beginning of VITE Academic Year and during the duration of the course of study.
4/ RPL & course costs
RPL application form and process & RPL evidence assessment & interview will incur a cost of VT1500.
If candidates are credited with course(s), they will be charged 25% of original course(s) fee.
Gap training – when candidates enroll in courses where credit is not awarded, they must pay the full course(s) fee.
