The Pacific Association for Teacher Educators conference will be hosted by VITE in August 2007 here in Port Vila.

The Pacific Association for Teacher Educators (PATE) is an association for teacher educators of the Pacific. Four lecturers from our VITE are part of this committee. They are John Atkin Arukelana, Joy Botleng, Annette Lawac, and Eric Natuoivi.

Port Vila has been marked as the host for the 2007 PATE conference. The four lecturers of VITE are part of the committee that will do much of the planning, arrangements, and organisation and running of this major workshop. John Atkin is the chairman of this important committee. Many prominent educators, especially in the area of teacher education have been main features in past PATE workshops, and the John said this will be the trend in 2007.
