Application is open to candidates having at least obtained the diploma of year 12 or its equivalent.

The entry into the VITE is conditional upon the success the language of instruction shown on national examinations, the aptitude for reasoning and the motivation of the candidate.

At the request of the Ministry of Education, a candidate may enter the first year with full-time in service training.


METHOD OF RECRUITMENT:

The dates of opening and closure of applications to the VITE are announced on Radio Vanuatu, in the local press, and by postings in the Provincial Offices about the middle of the year. The minimum level of entry is year 12.

In order to receive an application form, to be filled and returned as soon as possible, accompanied by the photocopies of relevant certificates of the examinations and referees. No form will be accepted after the closing date.

The selection is done by a team of trainers of VITE, and candidates will be asked to present themselves for written tests and oral tests with other applicants. The names of successful candidates are announced on the radio at the beginning of December.

The tests of the courses are evaluated on the basis of a total of 200 points:
