Students are encouraged to organise and
participate in social and sporting activities, appointing
monitors who have the responsibility for the care,
maintenance and issuing of leisure and sports equipment
provided by the Institute. Netball, football, rugby and
volleyball equipment is available. Students elect for
institute or individual club team membership according to
term and semester timetables. Wednesday afternoons are
devoted to sport for institute students across all
sections. Students may play petanque or darts during
informal moments.
Board games such as chess, cards and
scrabble are on hand. Students may organise a film club or
video viewing at weekends. Music and singing are a feature
of student life and of social evenings.
Sunday night church services are
organised within the campus by the Students'
Christian Fellowship.
